I’ve spent most of my life fighting fires. For 15 years that meant real ones, as a volunteer firefighter; for even longer, it’s meant the digital kind.

I’m Rolando Scott, an engineering leader with more than 20 years of experience building, securing and rescuing websites. My focus is platform migrations, moving complex Drupal and WordPress estates between hosts without downtime, along with the security work that keeps them standing: WAF configuration, bot management, and getting sites back on their feet when something goes wrong.

I’ve led teams as an engineering manager at an agency, and today I’m a solutions lead guiding engineers and project managers, but I’ve never stopped doing the hands-on work myself. I work remotely with companies, agencies and clients across the US, from names like Yahoo! and IBM to hundreds of startups, and I still love the hard problems most people would rather avoid. Away from the keyboard, I’m a father of three and an aviation enthusiast.
